SMS platform for Shopify
Customer messaging for Shopify orders: COD confirmations, delivery-delay blasts and status notifications, triggered from CoreOps workflows. SMS Platform embedded in Shopify for marketing, promotion, and customer engagement.
Problem
Cash-on-delivery orders needed confirmation before dispatch, and delivery delays meant they had to reach many customers at once. Doing it by hand was slow and inconsistent, and the existing provider limited how far the workflow could grow.
Approach
I built an SMS service layer that listens to order events from Shopify and CoreOps, renders a template per message type and sends through a provider adapter. COD confirmations go out when an order lands; delay blasts are segmented by order status and area. Because providers sit behind an adapter, moving from M360 to SMSKit was a swap rather than a rewrite.
Outcome
Confirmations and delay notices go out from the same system that holds the order, with a log of every message sent. The provider change from M360 to SMSKit happened without touching the workflows that depend on it.
